this is a very casual personal project inspired by ariana grande’s song point of view. i really liked the song, especially its lyrics. upon listening to the song for probably what would be my ten thousandth time, i decided to use it as inspiration to design a little personal project graphic.

i started with picking the font. i chose “stretch pro font,” which is a font that stretches the character when you type it twice next to each other. i chose to stretch the letters “t” “f” and “e.”

the background color is a gradient with colors picked from the album cover of positions, which is the album the song pov is in. since i wanted to place the text at the top left corner, i placed the darker gradient corner on the bottom left corner. this layout allows for easy readability and also creates a sentence of balance in colors. the top left and bottom right corners have the same shade of grey, where as the top right corner has a bit of a pinkish hue to it.

i created a frame of words around the graphic, which would include the partial lyrics from the songs pov –since i liked the lyrics so much. under the extended letter “f” i also included the line “i’d love to see me from your point of view,” which is one of my favorite lines from the song. i also wanted to create a more balanced image between text and images, so i decided to add in the album cover as well. lastly, i threw in two oval shapes on the bottom left corner to balance out the overall “weight” of the graphic. i also added a simple folded paper effect on top of the graphic as a whole to spice up the overall aesthetic.
