tools used: wolfram mathematica
having only recently been exposed to wolfram mathematica, i’ve already been stunned by the endless possibilities this application can bring and create. while browsing the wolfram database, i came across this project that seemed incredibly interesting to me. through a few lines of simple code, an interactive graphics can be created. the end product is named “text kaleidoscope” for the image’s close resemblance to that of what a modern day kaleidoscope would produce.
the interactive design allows for the user to switch in between letters and characters from different languages. i started out the test with english characters, then began to explore other languages with different characters such as urdu. the “kaleidoscope” produces 5 images of the character, while the user may alter the distance between each character as well as the angle of rotation.
