figma, create with play
as a vinyl collector, i’ve poured thousands of dollars into building my collection. while i love owning music in a physical, analog form, i’ve always wished for a seamless way to carry a digital version of my discography—something accessible anytime, right from my phone.
discogs is the default platform for vinyl collectors, but i found its information design overwhelming and inconsistent. duplicate listings, unmarked variations, and cluttered layouts made what should be a joyful browsing experience feel frustrating. all i wanted was a clean, intuitive way to log my records, save albums i’m interested in, and browse casually when inspiration strikes — so that’s what i built.
i created an app where users can:
log their vinyl collection
organize vinyls based on a playlist form — making it easy for users to reach for vinyls in specific settings
shop a specific vinyl variation from the app
add a vinyl variation to their wish list
mark down a vinyl they already have
easily browse the tracklist to make sure their favorite tracks are included
